Description: Wild Boar Ragu is a rich and hearty dish originating from Tuscany. It features wild boar meat marinated in red wine, root vegetables, olive oil and spices. The meat is then simmered in a tomato-based sauce with more wine, creating a flavourful Ragu. Wild boar meat is lower in calories, fat, and cholesterol than regular pork, making it also a great option for a hearty meal.
How to use: this Ragu is a sauce for pasta. The most delicious, traditional type of pasta to use it with is “Pappardelle” (a Tuscan large, broad and flat pasta, which can be fresh or dried) – but you can use any other kind as well. If you are cooking pasta for two people, one jar is normally sufficient. Tips: warm up the Ragu separately in a pan with some cooking water (from the pasta pot); after draining the pasta, pour this in the pan with the Ragu and stir.
Size: 0.18 kg
How to preserve: once opened, it is advised to keep the Ragu in the refrigerator and consume it within three days. In any case, it is important to always check the appearance and smell of the product before consuming it, in order to ensure its freshness and healthiness.
