Description: sweeter and less invasive than garlic, Aglione is an ancient product typical of the Senese countryside, whose cultivation has recently been recovered and protected by regulation. Perfect in combination with “pici” or fresh pasta, the aromatic sweetness of the Aglione sauce contains all the sunshine of the Val di Chiana.
How to use: this is a sauce for pasta. It can be enjoyed with various pasta types, among which pappardelle, tagliatelle and pici – but you can use any other kind as well. If you are cooking pasta for two people, one jar is normally sufficient. Tips: warm up the sauce separately in a pan with some cooking water (from the pasta pot); after draining the pasta, pour this in the pan with the Ragu and stir.
