Founded in 2019 in Colle Val d’Elsa, in the heart of the province of Siena, GE Distillery was born with the goal of creating an Italian craft distillery capable of combining artisanal tradition with technological innovation. A young but ambitious company, it specializes in producing ultra-premium London Dry Gin that stands out for its quality, character, and identity.
The gin is brought to life in the artisan distillery housed in a charming 19th-century building, which also hosts the CREA Research Center, founded in collaboration with the University of Siena. This direct synergy between artisanal production and scientific research allows for the perfect blend of precision, creativity, and control at every stage of the process.
At the heart of the production system is a solid copper Bennet still, equipped with innovative technologies that produce a pure and refined distillate, able to enhance each botanical with precision and intensity. The design is inspired by the English model from 1831 but incorporates cutting-edge technology.
GE Distillery is a true artisanal laboratory, where every stage is handled with meticulous care: design, botanical selection, laboratory testing, distillation, bottling, and packaging. All under the direction of designer Eugenio Macchia, a prominent figure in the world of spirits.

“Ultrapremium” quality: the distillery is built inside the research centre CREA, which allows to implement an unprecedented quality control and tracking system on each distillation batch.
The Technology: Turbostill Technology allows to obtain enormous thermal power with low vapour pressure and without significant temperature variation; Vacuum Distillation allows to distil GUD at low pressure and low temperature (that varies from -10°C to +60°C, whereas traditional distillation takes place at 80-100°C); Nanocopper Technology, never before used in Italy and patented by Green Engineering, allows to substantially reduce unwanted substances in GUD and guarantees the purity of the product.
Ingredients: the most distinctive botanicals—cedar, bergamot, and roses— are individually handpicked under the founders’ meticulous supervision and used fresh, unlike the dried botanicals typically found in most gins. They are then processed and preserved using their patented technology, to maintain their distinctive fragrances.
