Description: Ratafiá is meticulously crafted from the Picciola Pear, a rare species native to the area of Monte Amiata. The fruit is carefully reduced to a puree and filtered through cloth to retain its seeds and pulpy parts. Subsequently, it undergoes maceration alongside sweet orange peels and orange juice. This unique combination ensures that the liqueur maintains the pear’s freshness, which would otherwise diminish shortly after processing.
How to use: combine with sweets made with sponge cake, or use as a base for preparing long drinks (with orange, grapefruit and pineapple juices, or sparkling wines). Serve cool and shake before serving.
