Saragiolino
Birrificio Saragiolino was born when the Crociani family’s agricultural activity – after many generations – arrived in the hands of Lorenzo and Andrea in 2012. The two brothers started a major redevelopment of the family farm, starting with the renewal of the agricultural machinery, which had the goal of optimising agronomic processes up to the transition to organic farming in 2018.
As part of this redevelopment, the construction of the Tuscan-style cellar began in 2013, leading to the creation of today’s brewery, which is entirely powered by photovoltaic panels and a wood-fired steam generator.
Barley is produced in Saragiolino’s own fields and, once transformed into malt, it is used in the production of six exceptional, award-winning agricultural beers.
Products
Why is this producer exceptional?
The distinctiveness of Saragiolino, on top of the exceptional taste of its beers, depends on a number of factors.
Short Supply Chain: barley is produced directly in Saragiolino’s fields, transformed into malt and then used in the recipes of its beers.
Attention towards the territory: all the energy, both electrical and thermal, is produced exclusively with photovoltaic panels and with a wood-fired steam generator.
Search for perfection: the use of the finest raw materials and constant attention to the production process are characteristics that have always distinguished Saragiolino.
Bottling in the absence of oxygen: with its bottling line, Saragiolino is able to control one of the most delicate stages of production, where dissolved oxygen can compromise the life of the bottled beer.
KeyKeg kegs: with this type of keg, which uses an internal bag to contain the product, the beer lasts longer and the organoleptic qualities remain unchanged.
