GUD Gin
The five founders created GUD Gin with the goal of achieving a truly new product, inspired by tradition but accomplished through an innovative approach and without making any compromises on quality.
The long family history of designing distillation equipment allows to make GUD Gin in an alembic inspired by the 19th Century Bennett still. However, the still has been revisited by introducing innovative technologies – something that has never been done before on a craft alembic – in order to maintain the characteristics of the raw materials and achieve the finest quality and highest level of purity of the end product, the Italian London Dry Gin.
With their roots and tradition in mind, the founders have fine-tuned the recipe of GUD and carefully chosen the raw materials to be added to the Tuscan juniper berries in order to obtain GUD’s unique and unforgettable taste. Moreover, everything – from the bottling to the final packaging – is done on the same site and under their careful supervision.
Why is this producer exceptional?
“Ultrapremium” quality: the distillery is built inside the research centre CREA, which allows to implement an unprecedented quality control and tracking system on each distillation batch.
The Technology: Turbostill Technology allows to obtain enormous thermal power with low vapour pressure and without significant temperature variation; Vacuum Distillation allows to distil GUD at low pressure and low temperature (that varies from -10°C to +60°C, whereas traditional distillation takes place at 80-100°C); Nanocopper Technology, never before used in Italy and patented by Green Engineering, allows to substantially reduce unwanted substances in GUD and guarantees the purity of the product.
Ingredients: the most distinctive botanicals—cedar, bergamot, and roses— are individually handpicked under the founders’ meticulous supervision and used fresh, unlike the dried botanicals typically found in most gins. They are then processed and preserved using their patented technology, to maintain their distinctive fragrances.
